Social entrepreneurship and Economy for the Common Good: Study of their relationship through a bibliometric analysis

2019

Being social entrepreneurship (SE) the closest to Economy for the Common Good (ECG) principles, our work proposes to analyze the contribution of ECG model to SE. It is also intended to establish the relationship that exists between both concepts. Therefore, our specific objectives are to (1) identify the specific contributions of ECG principles to SE as well as their overlaps, (2) perform a literature review to analyze and quantify the number of research papers on SE and ECG, and (3) identify the possible existing gap. Through a double methodology, we (1) determine the potential contributions of the ECG model to SE, we propose to analyze the Common Good (CG) matrix and (2) empirical analys…

How students perceive the university's mission in a Spanish university: Liberal versus entrepreneurial education?

2013

AbstractThis study explores the extent to which undergraduate students perceive a dichotomy between a liberal vs. an entrepreneurial model of university. This research is important in that it compares the stated aims of university education, particularly within the Bologna Process, with students' expectations regarding liberal education and employability. A Likert-type questionnaire containing 25 statements reflecting liberal and entrepreneurial features of university education was answered by 488 students from 10 disciplines at the University of Valencia, Spain, just before the implantation of the Bologna curriculum. Psychometric Properties Of A Questionnaire Measuring The Antecedents Of Entrepreneurship Education Intention

2017

A limit of the questionnaires measuring Entrepreneurial Intention (EI) is the lack of a multidimensional vision of its antecedents. The definition of a multidimensional model of the main drivers affecting the intentions of aspiring entrepreneurs in building a start-up seems a fundamental milestone to overcome this pitfall. This paper aims to explore the internal consistency reliability of a new multidimensional questionnaire measuring the antecedents of EI and Entrepreneurial Education Intention (EEI). The tool consists in a self-administered online questionnaire that has been built in accordance with the Theory of Planned Behavior in entrepreneurship research. It includes 54 items adapted …

Entrepreneurial education: an entrepreneurial ecosystem approach

2020

Abstract How can an entrepreneurial education program simultaneously create entrepreneurial knowledge, skills and competencies, as well as new ventures and jobs? This is a particular challenge for universities that are keen to align with government policies and demonstrate impact. Our paper examines a novel approach to enterprise and entrepreneurship education that integrates training/learning with new venture creation by operating as an entrepreneurial ecosystem (EE). We outline a comprehensive EE framework and apply this model using an exploratory case study of an EE centred around an innovative academic unit called The Entrepreneurial Garden (TEG) at Burgundy School of Business in Dijon,…
